Induction Pathway enhancements

At present the following information is defined in the model dataset to capture Induction information in Pre Delivery:

 

  1. Induction Commenced DT
  2. Primary/Secondary/Other Reasons for Induction
  3. Bishops Score
  4. Induction Method
  5. Number of Prostin Insertions (if used)
  6. Oxytocin Commenced (if used)
  7. Induction Successful

There have been requests to enhance this pathway further with the inclusion of the following items:

  • Date/Time Decision to Induce
  • Date/Time induction planned to commence

These two questions would be at the start of the induction pathway.

Do you feel this would be of benefit to you all to have these extra identifiers to indicate decisions being made to the time of the procedure taking place?

    We really need to be able to better monitor inductions so an enhancement of the IOl questions would be really helpful. we need to be able to identity reason for delay in to IOLs

    Hi Alistair this would be really helpful and to include questions for reason for delay. Our IOL is soaring and there is a lot of time running audits
