Has anyone been able to successfully upload their data? I have extracted the xml from the rolled out report and tried a test submission, but cant get the file to be accepted by the portal? I have even tried the other extract through the IDB, and this failed with the same "file format" error
When will you be posting the Question criteria within each Code to enable us to answer the 'State of Readiness' questionnaire as to how many data criteria we can meet?

There are sections in the questionnaire which at the present moment you won't be able to complete yourselves as you will require information from Wellbeing/me about what's in/out of the extract. for example section 19 is a piece of work I have been undertaking over the last few weeks so analyse where the gaps are in the MSDS 2 specification and the EK systems and how best to manage these gaps.I plan to write up a dedicated entry on the readiness questionnaire in more detail within the portal in the coming days so you will be able to complete the questionnaire yourselves using information I provide in terms of the technical and clinical detail for your EuroKing systems.
2. Ahead of Friday's Webinar I have a call with NHS Digital on Wednesday to go through all the items I have raised that EuroKing either doesn't do, or does in a different way to that prescribed by the MSDS 2 technical specification. My aim is that by the end of this conversation on Wednesday I will have a definitive EK specification for the MSDS 2 extract which I can there share with you all.
3. Once I've shared the extract specification I will also publish the latest clinical update spec for EK systems which we will them commence rolling out to all customers in February - the aim is to have all systems updated by the end of February - at least in TEST if not LIVE so you will be in a position to begin collecting MSDS 2 data in April 2019. The clinical update will include MSDS 2, Continuity of Carer, Smoking and MgSO4 updates as previously requested.
I appreciate time is very tight and understandably you have concerns that the systems haven't been updated sooner to this effect. Please be assured that MSDS 2, amongst the other clinical updates required, remain my highest priority in terms of specifying and implementing for everyone before the end of March. We have secured additional resource within Operations to assist with this implementation so there will be at least 3 members of staff working on the roll out to ensure all customer systems are updated as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Most, if not all, of you will be on the webinar on Friday so am happy to go through anything further with you then. If you have any immediate questions for me please drop me an email and I can respond to you individually.

1. I've been working through the MDS2 specification and User Guidance to ensure EuroKing systems can be as compliant as possible by the end of March 2019 to begin collecting MDS2 specific data items.
2. I plan to publish a data set update on here by the end of this week which will detail all the MDS2 changes that will be added to your systems, where they will sit and so forth - in the same vein as Pam Dobson would have done previously when issuing the latest set of clinical updates for the system.
3. This update will also contain magnesium sulphate items and any systems which require an update for SATOD to assist with their smoking data.
4. I have a couple of outstanding queries with NHS Digital on some specifics regarding MDS2 and how best for EuroKing to handle it as some technical aspects of MDS2 don't directly match with how the EuroKing system currently works so I want assurance from that our approach is going to work.
5. I plan on sending out a larger more detailed communication this week with more specifics around this work and our plan for implementation. This will be am email that I will create but will be communicated via email from John Boland in the first instance so he can field any initial queries which may be raised.
Again I can only apologise that I have not communicated our plans and intentions for MDS2 in a more timely manner however please be assured this sits at the very top of my priority list not just now but until the end of March to ensure everyone is as compliant as possible with their data.

There's still no date for the webinar for Euroking users available as yet and I concur with Tracey Andrew's comment below that it doesn't leave a lot of time to get E3 templates and alike updated so we too are getting a little 'twitchy'!
Other than the date for the NHS Digital Webinar is there any update about the work to get each Trust ready for MDS 2.0. As the webinar isn't until February there is hardly any time before the first submission with the new data elements is due.
I have already applied for Friday 8th February from 10:30 until 12:00 for a EuroKing specific seminar however am still awaiting confirmation from NHS Digital that this can be "our" slot. NHS Digital emailed this intent late on Friday last week and expected suppliers to reply immediately by the next day (Monday). I was late in replying but I have asked for a slot which doesn't appear to have already been taken so I will confirm this to you all as soon as I hear back from NHS Digital.

I can now confirm that there will be a EuroKing slot on Friday 8th February from 10:30-12:30 hosted by NHS Digital which I encourage you all to join.
NHS Digital will send out a confirming email in the next few days - if not then most certainly at the start of next year.
