I'm trying to help out our health visitors. We send them a report once a fortnight highlighting all patients with open episodes who are now 28-32 weeks. Unfortunately, when they contact a small minority of these patients, they have sadly miscarried or had a TOP. Not all episodes are closed timely or at all in some cases. We have our EPU department record activity on Euroking at East Kent, therefore no 'booking date' is entered. Consequently, a patient can have an EPU contact, miscarry and never see a midwife. With the midwives there are certain procedures in place where they follow up on DNAs etc, but like all Trusts there are some patients who slip the net. A report may be able to highlight those with low or no activity on Euroking. I don't pretend to know exactly how this report needs to be set up, but to look at date/time episode opened/first contact and then activity thereafter. Perhaps show those with no activity for 40+ days since last contact?? Any ideas welcome.
